Donations are Essential to Awaken Pittsburgh’s Mission

Awaken Pittsburgh is a registered 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. As a non-profit organization that works with many low-income participants in our local community, we are grateful for donations in any amount.

Our work is evidence-based and proven effective in the schools we’ve worked with across our region. In particular, your gift can help offset the cost of the work we do in underfunded, underserved communities. Examples include:

• $20 = cost of a mindfulness journal for an at-risk teen
• $150 = cost for one teen to attend a 10-session program
• $250 = cost for one teacher to attend our introductory mindfulness programming
• $500 = cost of mindfulness workbooks for 25 teachers
• $1,500= cost to purchase mindful chimes for a whole school
• $2,600 = cost to buy class materials, e.g. mindfulness-based children’s books for 15 classrooms
• $4,600 = cost to introduce mindfulness to 20 teachers
• $5,000 = cost to train 25 teachers in bringing mindfulness to their students
